A little background for those who need it. Status is a ministry the band is involved with in Orlando. We have a team over in Kyrgstan doing some things with some universities/students. Here is an excerpt from one of the email updates... It's chilling.

"Also, I had a sort of scary/encouraging spiritual experince two nights ago: I was walking home from an Internet cafe by myself down a street with only one streetlight. As soon as I walked underneath it, it turned off. Since I still had the majority of the walk to go, I decided to take a side alley to another, better-lit street. While I was walking, I kept thinking I was about to get mugged... but it didn't happen. I shrugged it off and felt stupid for feeling so timid: I was on a wide, well-lit street. As soon as I was under the first streetlight, it went out. As I walked under the second light, it went out... the third, forth, fifth... all went out as soon as I walked under them. There were only six. When the sixth light blinked out as soon as I passed underneath it, and with six blocks to go in complete darkness (which is normal for K-stan, but this time was different), I felt some sort of spiritual force. I still tried to shrug it off, but as I was crossing the next street, I heard a voice in my head, "RUN!" I hesitated for a moment, then started running down a crooked, cracked sidewalk to the apartment. As soon as I had taken my first step, a car that had been coming towards me skidded to a halt and I heard car doors opening and voices yelling... I never looked back, but I'm sure the Lord protected me from something. Well, it might have been nothing, but oddly enough, I feel much safer knowing that I heard a voice protecting me."

There are things much larger than us.

Why is it so hard to be committed to the pursuit of His presence in our lives? There are continuous opportunities for us to connect with God, but we are so slow to do it. And it kills us. Let's connect.

I know it's been a long time... but here's an update.
We're traveling a lot over the next two months. While, at the same time, trying to prepare for the new album we are recording in October. We have been writing and practicing quite a bit of new stuff recently. The process has been going well, and I'm excited to hear the end product.

We are recording with Matt Goldman. He produced Copeland's last two albums. They both sound great, so we are excited about the opportunity to work with such a talented guy.

While preparing musically for this new project, we are also in the process of raising what seems like an insurmountable goal of $30,000! We want an awesome product, and that costs money. The amount isn't a ton in the range of recording an album, but at the same time, it's a lot of money to find. So, please be praying especially for this part of the process... and, if you'd like to help out, send me an email.

Thanks for your prayers, and keep checking for updates!
